Meet the Breeds

I am very excited to announce that Rock Solid German Shepherds had the priviledge of hosting the German Shepherd booth at the Meet the Breeds event in NYC on Oct. 17th and 18th, 2009. Over 160 AKC registered dog breeds and 40 CFA registered cat breeds were there, each with their own booth. We decorated our booth to show the versitility of the GSD and the fact that our breed is a hero. My daughter Tonya and Leslie Curtis of Royan German Shepherds came along to help. Our very own Shooter, Busy Bee and Zoe, along with Leslie's dog Bullet, were there each day also greeting the public. 36,000 people attended the event!! Whoopi Goldberg and Mario Lopez also were there!! What an awesome event the AKC put together. It was a wonderful experience to help educate the public about our amazing breed! Our dogs were fabulous as they experienced CONSTANT petting, hugging and picture taking for two days straight!! Talk about a temperament test!! They were so patient and such great ambassadors for our breed!! I am so proud of them!!
